During the discussion, Mary Jo asked me questions that I had originally researched for my book The Laura Ingalls Wilder Companion: A Chapter-by-Chapter Guide. Nearly twenty pages in my book are dedicated to the historical context, fact or fiction, discussion questions, and Live Like Laura activities inspired by By the Shores of Silver Lake.
