I also highly recommend The Legacy of Laura Ingalls Wilder Documentary dvd (linked to my review) and Almanzo Wilder: Life Before Laura. These are longer documentaries, full of details. Consider purchasing the DVDs from one of the Laura Ingalls Wilder homesites.
